Spring 2025
With the arrival of spring come trilliums and so many other lovely flowers blanketing the wooded areas. A baby fawn also graced the library and spent his first day nestled along the edge of the raised bed garden until he found his legs and with wobbly steps relocated to a grassy area under a tree, Mom returned shortly after sunset and we thank her for the trust in leaving her fawn to be admired by all who passed.
The first of two special events we are cosponsoring with the Charlevoix Public Library is on Tuesday, May 20.

Charlevoix Lavender Farm
Barnard Rd
Charlevoix, MI 49720
231.335.4542
Our guest speakers are owners of Charlevoix Laavender. The farm is on part of the original property that Craig’s grandparents, Jack and Frances Boss, purchased in 1930 as they began to raise their family. Dairy cattle and cash crops are where it all started.
In 2009 Craig and Erica purchased the land. Lavender entered the scene to help beautify the property and quickly earned its place as the plants thrived in the naturally loamy and balanced soil. They began developing unique products that are now sold locally at farmer’s markets, festivals, and online. Join us to learn more interesting information on the behind the scenes operation of growing this aesthetically pleasing and relatively forgiving plant.
Business meeting to follow.
